Bitte beachten Sie die durch DScaler V1.1.10 gegebenen Hinweise während der Installation:

" Warning
This program installs a temporary driver while it runs. This is done so that the code can directly access the hardware. This method of direct hardware control has the following possible side effects that you should know about and understand before running this program.
In some circumstances if you select the wrong choices for tuner when setting up the card then the EEPROM can get corrupted. We are trying to solve this issue but please be very careful when selecting tuner type. If you do not know exactly what tuner your card has please ask at the forums and do not guess or experiment with all the different choices.
Due to poor coding on our part DScaler can crash. Of it does crash then this can cause a BSOD in NT or hanging in 95/98, this crashing has been known to cause disk corruption. As a precaution sync the disks before running this program. Use the sync utility from <http://www.sysinternals.com/> for whichever operating system you are running.
Please do not use kill task to stop DScaler except as a last resort as this can also cause BSOD or hanging.
Known Issues
There appear to be crashing problems with
- Norton Anti Virus 2002
- Running some TV programs using WDM drivers after running DScaler
Please be especially careful if these apply to you and check for the latest news about them at DScaler’s support forum."

DScaler bietet eine bessere Bildqualität als Power Cinema TV. Dies wird u.a. in der Bildschärfe und besonders bei Laufschriften im Bild, siehe n-tv, sichtbar.

DScaler 4.1.9 Settings für den MD 8008

Channels --> Setup --> Scan

Channel List: Haken entfernen: Keyed numbers..... nach dem Scan der Kanäle können hier der Stations-Name korrigiert werden werden. Die Kanal- und Programm-Informationen werden unter "c:\Programme\DScaler\program.txt" abgelegt.

Das File channel.txt enthält die verschieden Frequenz-Listen für den Scan nach Auswahl des Landes oder Kabelnetzbetreibers. Im Abschnitt [German Frequency] werden die gescannten Kanäle für die Auswahl Deutschland definiert. Es wird nicht zwischen Kabel-TV und terrestrischen TV unterschieden.

Was ist WINAMP TV?
Winamp TV ist ein Eingangs-Plug-in für Winamp 2 oder 5 welches Winamp mit einem TV/FM-Tuner ergänzt. Zur Wiedergabe von Video und Sound wird Microsoft's WDM Streaming Technology genutzt.

Winamp TV verwendet kleine ".tvc" Files zur Beschreibung der Kanäle, wie Frequenz, Stationsname und Einstellungen. Diese werden automatisch durch Winamp TV beim Scan der Kanäle erstellt.

QUICKSTART

Start Winamp, --> preferences (Options --> Einstellungen) --> (Ctrl-P) , Eingangs-Plug-in. selektiere Winamp TV [x86],

klick on configure (Konfigurieren)

Ausgabe: Normal

Ausgabe: Thin Frame

Ausgabe: Winamp Video

Nach Selektion des TV-Systems, die Kanäle scannen. Für TV "Kurzer Scan"the folder to store the files, and do a quick or full scan, or manually add S-Video or Composite if you don't have a tuner.

Klick "Set as Playlist"

Playliste abspeichern.

TV-Wiedergabe durch Play eines Files der Playlist.

Über "File Info" (Alt-3) können die Kanal-Parameter modifiziert werde.

Das Lesen der "Configuration hints" wird empfohlen.

FAQ:
- Erster Programm-Start nach Installation: Sound ok, but video black screen --> restart computer
- video screen outside of Winamp's video screen: --> Alt-c -->Ausgabe: Winamp Video
- no tele text, videotext --> error message

- VMR error message

Die Version2.38 beta2 enthält noch zahlreiche Bugs. Ebenso fehlen die Hilfe und FAQ. TV-Abstimmung im native Mode fehlerhaft. Für Abstimmung muß die WDM-Steuerung gewählt werden. Diese kann nach Speicherung der Kanäle wieder deaktiviert werden.
